Festool cms table saw. 55" is pushing it on the crosscuts and two of them leaves a little to be desired on the long rips. The local tool guy has the Makita track saw in stock versus driving 2 hrs for the Festool. It seems like more and more festool is getting insane. It was fabricated by one Allen Petty. The whole kit comes with two 5mm bits and a 35mm bit. As for a table saw???? Having recently sold my cabinet saw I am now in the market for a track saw. we built an upper and lower cabinet box. I have the Fat Max horses, they have a friction-fit slot to accept 2x's on edge which really stabilizes the entire table - although I still wouldn't want to plane on it. I'm at a different job almost every day and this works fine so far (3 weeks with the Festool). I have zero need for any of them since I use 1/4" bits for my shelf holes and do my 35mm holes on a drill press. That is why I bough the longer Festool track locally at the one place in the state that carries Festool, (most of the time - if it is in stock).
